One-On-One Teaching Sessions
Our certified teachers use games and activities to assess your baby or toddler's developmental needs. This allows us to plan short-term and long-term goals together with you, their parent. We focus on fine and gross motor skills, social-emotional development, language, self-help skills, along with recognition of letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Even at the same age, childrens' development differs in all areas. We spend one-on-one time with each child, focusing on their individual strengths and weaknesses, so they receive every opportunity to reach their full potential.
With student-teacher ratios lower than state regulations, your child's class session is equal to that of small group learning. At Lil' Lighthouse Christian Academy we also focus on each child independently, offering them a unique learning experience.
Sign Language Communication
Signing as a form of communication, even with hearing children, has been proven very beneficial for all children. Babies as early as 8 months can sign and let their caregivers know if they are hurt or hungry. Being able to express frustrations and request something needed, lessens frustrations and brings a sense of calm and control to them.
Toddlers that may have delayed speech, special needs, or just a difficulty in expressing their feelings, can employ this skill to communicate effortlessly. At Lil' Lighthouse Christian Academy we strive to break down any form of communication barriers so your child feels safe, secure and loved throughout their day.
In-School Field Trips
Lil' Lighthouse Christian Academy believes learning should be fun and should encompass as much culture and variety as possible. One way we achieve this is by offering periodic "in-school field trips". Ranging from arts and culture to science, sports and athletics, agriculture and more, we bring in artists, educators and assorted professionals for days of extra learning fun. We strongly believe this heightens your child's learning experience by expanding their view of the world around them. These special activities are included in our tuition packages.
